CNS Annual Conference – Travel and Registration Awards
The Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS) is committed to advancing equity, justice, and belongingness and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all members. CNS is also committed to supporting the Canadian nutrition community in engaging in research and practice that effectively engages with and addresses structural determinants and inequities. This includes addressing barriers to participation in the Society and its events. Please see CNS’ full statement: CNS Commitment to Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
For our 2022 Annual Conference, we are pleased to introduce registration and travel awards available to equity deserving groups, including Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC), LGBTQ2S+ and / or people with disabilities. Individuals who are full-time students in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional academic or clinical training program related to nutrition at a Canadian institution are invited to apply. The awards are intended for students who do not otherwise have funding to participate in the Conference. Recipients will receive a complimentary CNS membership and will be invited to submit a late-breaking abstract (deadline to submit – March 28, 2022, with the abstract submission fee waived). Note that submitting a late-breaking abstract is not a requirement to be considered for a Registration or Travel Award.
